Step One - A New Beginning

As I sit here and contemplate the first day of school, I reflect on how I can make this school year better for my students. This year is going to have a new look. Gone are the days where I am using a one-size-fits-all approach to teaching, and in are the days I use differentiated instruction. With differentiated instructions, students will work at their own pace, based on their current skill level, and will work primarily with sources they find interesting.
Step one to succeeding at internet marketing is to learn how to sponsor people. Stop chasing leads and calling friends and family. I lost a few friends and a few family members are now convinced that I am actually insane. However, calling family and friends is okay, if you know they will listen and not call you stupid right to your face. (no one needs the headaches of trying to explain businesses choices).
You need to learn how to brand yourself, and how to successfully market YOU, not your business. Help others first, and you, too, shall be helped. You have a great product, but I won't see the product if you do not showcase the most important aspect of building a business, and that aspect is YOU. When I see you, I see your product!
There is one more part to step one, you will need to find someone who will return your e-mails and phone calls; and will actually take the tie to see you through the entire process. I hope this helps you make a decision. Good luck!
To your Success....

How To Find Keywords For A Web Site

How to find keywords for a web site is a question faced by many Internet marketers. The ultimate goal is for the key words help you earn, they have to target the audience that will convert to buyers and they have to provide sufficient amount of traffic so it can all work out. In order to achieve this keywords need to have following features:
  1. they need to be related to the product or better to what the potential buyers are looking for in the product,
  2. they have to target a person who already is a buyer and not someone who just wonders around,
  3. they need to be low competition keywords so you don't spend ages trying to get listed,
  4. they need to have sufficient number of searches and sufficient traffic to keep things moving forward for you and keep sales rolling in,
  5. adopt a "gentle " approach to keywords, a rule of thumb to meet the above criteria,
  6. never lean towards extremes, there is a reason why a keyword has the lowest competition because no one is searching for it and therefore no one tries to get listed for it either.
Google wants you to know how to find keywords for a web site?
Your main device to do that is Google Keyword Tool. It is absolutely free, you'll never have to pay a penny for it and it is probably the most accurate one. The difference between Google and most paid keyword tools is interface, additional functions (calculated form Google provided data) and ability to store results. I usually us Google along with something else as I do like to store my results but I also like to check competition on Google as I find it more accurate and realistic in terms of being able to rank high in search results.

How Do Keyword Searches Work

Keyword research is one of the most important parts of working online. Proper understanding of how do keyword searches work can make a difference between making money and loosing time with no effect whatsoever. There are many keyword tools available but they all get their information from main search engines. The reason is very simple it's the search engines where people type in what they are looking for. Then at the other end there are people who put content on the web and the role of search engine is to combine them. Keyword searches are a part of this process.
So, how do keyword searches work? When a person submits content to a web space they tag this content with keywords of their choice and they usually perform SEO on the content they submit. Search engines then send Crawlers in order to check how relevant submitted content is to tagged keywords and SEO efforts. Then the search engines impression of the consistency of your actions determines how high you rank in search results for particular keywords.
The best source of information about keyword searches and what is important for the search engines is always the website of the engine itself. Google for instance dose not disclose all information about how it works but all information that is available about how Google works can be found on Google website. The problem with this information is that it is very detailed, very precise and fairly technical and if you are just starting it would take you huge amount of time to go through this and master it. The keyword tool Google provides is second to none but again it's too good when you are just starting.
That's when other keyword tools and training programs come into play. Choosing a good training program with a good and easy to use keyword tool will help you pick it up quicker. You will be able to master this skill faster with less effort. It's just like in order to become a doctor it's actually easier to go to med school then learn everything by yourself from encyclopedia of medicine. A good product will help you a lot but choose carefully as some of them are a terrible waste of time and money.

What is New About Google Search in 2010?

In June 2010, Google launched their new search system that they dubbed "Caffeine". This new version of the Google search speaks of improved results and presents more options in search results.
Google realized that web content has grown a lot and they need to respond to this. The availability of digital graphics and multimedia technology in the mainstream of society has enhanced web designs and free web portals have allowed limitless uploading of text and images. Thus, Google built a new search indexing system that relates to what people expects when they ran a search, which is content relevance and fast indexing of published materials.
For those who might not have noticed, the Google home page has change. It still looks like the old simple search page that you were used to land on except that the Google logo has become larger, colors are sharper, and the "TM" symbol at the upper right end was removed.
To provide more options for the researcher, Google has added a left sidebar aside from the listings that ensue as soon as you hit the search button. At first glance, the left side bar might have looked like a static page but clicking on the down arrow or the "More" label, you will have options for images, videos, news, books, blogs, updates, and discussions.
Moving down a step, you will find an option for web pages in your local area. This provides faster access to local web resources rather than typing again on the search bar for a fresh batch of list and losing your initial search results.
The left sidebar also presents search criteria such as indexed web contents in the past 24 hours or year. You may event customize the period by clicking on the "custom" option and providing the inclusive period.
If you think that you have lost the option to see search results with web page images, don't be discourage yet because you could have "Standard View" and "Standard Results" with their accompanying variations as the last two search tools in the left side bar.
Google has made Caffeine as their relentless search carrier as it analyzes the web in a continuous basis all over the web wide world, thereby providing fresher information. It is able to generate high quality websites on a given specific keyword search phrase; making the new Google search more appealing to internet users.
For those who are into SEO and internet marketing, the new Google search has made the strategic use of keywords, such as placement in the title and body elements, seemed to be more relevant than ever. Thus, with the current speed and deeper coverage that the new Google search is updating its index, it is logical that websites must be updated regularly in order for it to rank well. Surely, we are benefiting a lot from the faster and comprehensive search engine that Google "Caffeine" has become. All we need to do is to learn what the new Google search is offering us through our own observations or through published articles on comparative analysis and researches between the old and the new and with other search engines.

CallTracker - The Missing Link in Analytics

Analytics is an imperative tool to measure the success of your website. Tracking your analytics and fine tuning your website is necessary to maximize your advertising efforts, website traffic and conversions. Analytics is a great tool to measure online advertising against online conversions. A problem occurs if someone sees your ad but decides to call your company to place an order rather than go through the online conversion process. Now analytics shows this as a person that viewed your ad but did not convert. As this begins to occur for several people, the data from your analytics quickly becomes deceiving showing that your ads are not performing as well as they truly are. In addition, if you want to invest in offline advertising such as magazine ads or television, how do you measure the success of these outlets?
You can now measure the success of all your advertising efforts, both online and offline.  Your phone number can now be a tool for you to use in ads to track activity and measure success beyond the scope of a website or user clicks. When a call comes into your telephone number, information can be sent to a custom webpage that collections information about the call including the number that call came from, the number dialed, and how long the call lasted. This webpage then sends that information on to your analytics software. Now, in addition to seeing how many people came to your site from an online ad, you can see how many people called you after seeing that same ad. If a person sees your ad in a magazine ad or billboard and calls your phone number, then you can also track that in the same way through your analytics. Now your analytics software becomes a tool to measure the success of all of your advertising efforts.
You can use local phone numbers to create a local presence in key cities or toll-free phone numbers to create a large company feel. By using several different phone numbers, you can place a unique phone number in a specific ad or advertising medium and measure each phone number separately so you can see if a particular ad is working better than the next. Having the ability to track offline response rates alongside online results, you now have found the missing link to a full view of customer conversions.

Setting Up The Virtual Office

Doing this in the small island almost makes sense, because of the spaces that we have here and the limitations of office spaces as well. Now, following the mould of an island that is as well connected as we are, setting up a virtual office section in your work place is something that makes plenty of sense, and ensures that you have options at the end of the day. There are plenty of people and companies out there who are already taking advantage of the many options and the ease of having such a section as part of the office, and the benefits are many.
For one thing, you up the welfare of your office by allowing part of the work schedule to be done at home, and for some of your workers, working at home sometimes allows them to refresh themselves and gain the flexibility that keeps them interested in the job. Also, if something goes wrong at the office or if there is a reason that you cannot come in, this does not mean that work has to stop - all that needs to happen is that you just need to activate the virtual office. It is also great as a backup, and allows you to communicate easily with outsourced or foreign vendors, if need be.
Now setting up this is pretty easy, and all you need is a strong network hub in the office. Getting one is as easy as just getting up and going to the hardware store, and make sure you get one that supports a high bandwidth connection. Now, the next thing you need to do is to set up a NAS or network centre, which means that all working files and such can be stored and accessed to password and encryption. This also means that you can track who has been going in and out of the NAS and what files have been moved around.
The next thing that you need to do is to set up a central work station within the office, which is networked to the printers, fax and whatever other machines there are. This means that whoever is at home can print direct to the printer or fax direct to the fax in the office, and all they need is to be connected to the office hub. You also need to set up a project management system and a work only workspace that you can track as well, to see who is connected and who is not. Of course, all the equipment purchases on the end of the employee will have to be on their own, and all they need really is their computers and an internet connection, the very basics of this.
So as you can see, setting up a virtual office in Singapore is pretty easy and anyone can do this if they put their mind to it. All in all, at the end of the day, all you need is a little tech and a little hard work.
